Proof that our pigs are not raised in a barn on cement! Did you know that not all small farmers raise their pigs on grass? When things like being raised on grass and in the sunshine with room to roam matter to you, it’s important to vet that farm and ask to see exactly how the animals are being raised. Today’s adventure: weak winter electric fences (mostly likely from trees fallen with this wet and windy weather) encouraged these feeder pigs to bust out of confinement and go on an exploration! It took a feed bucket and some encouraging words and the are now tucked back where they belong. (Rick will be working the fence line this afternoon).
