Liberty Estate Wheat Ale is deliciously approachable with lush leavened bread character supporting fruity esters and a delicate spice note on top.

We created Liberty as a celebration of Americaโ€™s 250th anniversary by looking ahead to the next 250 years. The beer is named after Liberty wheat โ€” a new variety from Virginia Tech thatโ€™s bred for the next generation of beer. Itโ€™s a call to action for what the future of truly local beer can be: from and for the community where itโ€™s grown and brewed.

NAMED AFTER THE GRAIN.
Liberty Estate Wheat Ale takes its name from Liberty wheat, similar to a wine grape variety that gives wine its name and personality. Like a winemaker who plants Viognier for what it expresses in the glass, we grow Liberty wheat for what it delivers in the beer: character rooted in place.

100% ESTATE GRAIN, REGENERATIVELY FARMED AND COMMUNITY FOCUSED.
Every single grain in Liberty Estate Wheat Ale โ€” Liberty wheat and a new barley type, also from Virginia Tech โ€” is grown at Wheatland Spring using regenerative practices on land worked since 1832. The water comes from the natural source on-site. The beer is brewed with 100% renewable energy. Even the hops come from a Virginia farm.

On Memorial Day 2019, we soft opened our doors to our neighbors for the first time. We leaned on the support of our dear friends Adam and Cait who drove out from DC to pour beer alongside us. We tried to take in the day, watching our neighbors gathering in the Bank Barn and around the few tables we had in our Biergarten. It feels like a lifetime ago and also just yesterday.

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, we celebrate 8 years of farming our land and 7 years of brewing estate beers at our annual LAND BEER FEST.

Starting tomorrow, May 26th, pre-sales for this yearโ€™s commemorative glassware and beverage tokens open on our website. The Land Beer Fest 2026 fest pack will feature TWO Return to Analog 2026 branded stemware glasses, FOUR beverage tokens to redeem at the fest, and FOUR raffle tickets for a chance to win $40 gift cards from some of our favorite local businesses.
