DeeDee is a 36yr old mare who no longer has eyes. Along with specialized care from Lisa and her staff, she has two helpers, Cookie the goat and Daisy the donkey. Lisa has had this sweet mare in her care for quite some time and she is thriving! She has a patio attached to her stall that she shares with both Daisy and Cookie. She loves spending time outside grazing and rolling in the mud! She is also quite adept at sneaking into her neighbour's stall and finding anything scrumptious! She truly is a special mare. Pictured above is DeeDee in Daisy and Cookies stall after she had satisfied her curiosity in seeing if there was anything good in there!

We have some very special helpers here at Havenbrook who specialize in companionship to some of our retired and or medical cases. One of our special helpers is Cookie the goat. He is currently fulfilling the role of companion and seeing goat for an elderly blind mare. While he takes his job seriously, he also takes the time to nap in the lush grass next to one of our boarders or squeeze in a little snuggle time with Lisa in the sunshine. Lisa has a definite affinity with animals and doesn't just bring knowledge and expertise to the table but compassion and understanding, helping her recover some of the toughest cases! It's the little things!

Havenbrook offers mobile care! This beautiful girl has some scratches going on amongst her feathers. Lisa is on the case and she is already feeling so much better! With feathers like that, this can be a tricky battle. A lot of experience and top notch products, flair is under control and improving daily!

Here at Havenbrook we truly focus on individualized and personal care for your Equine partners. We even offer grooming and clipping services.

This handsome boy got a bath, condition, mane and tail treatment, as well as a clip yesterday to help him with this summer heat. Some health issues result in an excess growth and retention of coat, anyone want to guess one of the most common ones? We are positive this sweet boy is going to feel a lot cooler as the weather continues to warm!

Havenbrook Farm and Equine Rehabilitation has moved to a new location, functioning as an independent facility run by owner Lisa Snooks and her team.

We are very excited to share with you a sneak peak of our new digs. We are currently at capacity and only accepting medical rehabilitation cases at this time.

Located just minutes from the Equine Medical Center at Morven Park, we are able to facilitate with medically focused layup, rehabilitation and care.

Our facility offers variable stall sizes ranging from 12x10 through 12x15. Each stall boasts a private patio.

Hot/cold wash stall, top quality forage, a fully custom feeding plan individualized to each horse's needs and turnout options including but not limited to, private and small herd turnout.

We do offer other services, such as but not limited to, emergency and routine hauling, pet sitting, mobile rehabilitation and care, bringing back into work on ground or under saddle, magnet therapy and more!

8 years ago Sedona decided to fight with a T-post . It won.

The Dr’s didn’t give us much hope . But our Lisa said we will fight and fight she did. When it was bleak Lisa never gave up.

6 months on stall rest, daily wound cleaning , colic watch and she was alive and ride able .

Of course it’s now trails and tots but that’s ok , our lil red Sedona
