During our Bosnia-Croatia trip, this coming September, we will spend two nights at this boutique hotel in the middle of vineyards of Herzegovina.

Just outside Mostar, is a boutique estate set among the historic Imperial vineyards.

Dinner will be served overlooking the vines, paired with wines produced on the estate itself, as the sun sets over the hills of Herzegovina.

🌿 Trebinje, Bosnia & Herzegovina 🇧🇦

This September, we’re visiting Trebinje — a charming town just a short drive north of Dubrovnik.

With its stone streets, riverside views, and relaxed pace, it feels like the perfect place to slow down and soak it all in. ✨

🍷 While there, we’ll be visiting winery — can’t wait to taste their Žilavka and Vranac wines, perfectly paired with delicious local cuisine at their restaurant.

Imagine standing here as the sun sets over Mostar.

The Old Bridge (Stari Most) has connected this town for centuries — originally built in the 16th century during the Ottoman Empire.

Just beyond these stone streets begins Herzegovina’s wine country, where indigenous grapes like Žilavka and Blatina have been grown for thousands years.

This is one of the places we will visit on our journey in September — where history, culture, and wine all come together in a way that is hard to describe until you experience it. , ,

If you are in NYC, and interested in trying Balkan /Mediterranean cousine served with natural wines, beer and rakija from that region, I highly recommend Mimoza in Astoria.
