Just want to clear up the chatter, we are absolutely still ready to go and excited to serve the community. We are still waiting for some permit approvals. We have turned in everything requested of us, we follow up extremely often if not daily. We have opened up many businesses and this has been the most difficult. We opened up and renovated an entire hotel and bar during covid and had less hoops to jump through. 🤪😖We only need to make some minor Plumbing changes LOL before we can finish the approvals. We have been Cooperative in providing the third party company that the city hires to handle this stuff, with anything that they have requested. .... even if we felt like it was above and beyond what should have been needed. Weeks and weeks ago they requested a business plan and multiple other things, that was all turned in and then they requested a measurement be added to a building drawing. That was submitted the same day it was requested. That was over two weeks ago.

That was probably more details than I needed to get in to, but I wanted to assure the community that we still plan on opening and we are frustrated but also trying to deal with the powers that be professionally. We have invested a lot of our time and personal funds into this project and have no plan to abandon it.

Just an update because we are getting lots of questions on why we aren't open yet... we have some very minor Plumbing adjustments to move some equipment and we have been waiting on the third party company that the city hires to handle this type of permitting. We do keep following up but it has taken way longer than we expected or are happy with. Last week they requested a number of items from us including some items we already submitted and now a business plan, which I'm not quite sure why that was needed for this, but of course we have one and we were happy to supply it along with the other items.... and now we continue to wait and follow up. This is absolutely nothing against the city, I'm sure this company serves multiple other municipalities.... just wanted to give everyone a follow-up on where we are at. We have our menu completed, our food supplier, most of our employees, and we have onboarded ourselves on every system and program needed for the business. So once we have approval and the plumbing completed, it will go quick. Really hoping to get open before school is back in session!! - Amy

You are more than welcome to continue to send an email to apply , and when we are ready to resume interviews we will get back to you. We are not hiring any more people until we have a more firm official start date. We expected to be open weeks and weeks ago, unfortunately the approval process from the third party company the city hires has not been as quick as we have experienced with other communities

We are hiring for our new Waterloo Take and Go Restaurant! That's right we are finally getting closer.....looking to fill the following positions. Assistant Manager - pay based on experience
Responsibilities include: ✅ Helping lead staff ✅ Providing great customer service ✅ Food prep and daily operations ✅ Opening/closing the shop ✅ Managing the store when the owner isn't available
We're looking for someone dependable, positive, organized, and comfortable taking charge when needed.
Restaurant or management experience is a plus.

Part Time or Full Time Team Members - pay based on experience, must be at least 15
Duties include: ✅ Making sandwiches ✅ Preparing dirty sodas and drinks ✅ Taking customer orders ✅ Keeping the shop clean and organized ✅ Washing dishes and cleaning work areas ✅ Stocking supplies ✅ Providing great customer service

This is a fast-paced, takeout restaurant where teamwork is important.

Things always take longer than expected!!! But we perfected our spicy (very mildly spicy) apricot mustard and finalized our grinder lettuce recipe 😋 last night ....and our custom specialty sub menu is almost done. On to the next thing....can't wait to open but we want it to be right. Can't wait to see you this Spring!
