Hydrion- PH & Sanitizer Test Kit's 🪶
Founded in 1934 by Walter Florin in his family’s pharmacy, Hydrion started as hand-made pH paper. The company is still family-owned in Brooklyn and makes U.S. pH papers, strips, sanitizer tests, and buffers for labs, schools, food service, and industrys!
The strips were built for classrooms, process liquids, ferments and dairy, pools, aquariums, soil, and spill checks. Sanitizer strength is a different Hydrion product.
In a health-food setting, people use the 5.5–8.0 strips for urine and saliva. Higher-protein meals tend to push urine more acid; more vegetables and fruit tend to push it higher. Saliva is best read a couple of hours away from food. One reading means little — track first-morning urine and midday saliva for several days.
That is a wellness habit, not a diagnosis. Healthy urine usually sits around 5.5–7 and shifts with meals, sleep, and how long the sample sat.
