🌳🌳 Let's ReLeaf Watertown! 🌳🌳

Starting April 24, residents can get up to $100 back for planting one approved tree per property through the ReLeaf Watertown Program.

1. Buy an approved tree and save your receipt
2. Plant it in your yard or a boulevard (with pre-approval)
3. For reimbursement, bring your receipt to the Park and Rec Offices at 1900 W Kemp Ave (Tree size and type recorded on receipt).

2026 Spring Potting classes

Ready.... Set....... read the post below ⬇️

You have 2 options to sign up for potting classes.

1.) Open class on April 11th 9am or 1:00pm:
-Meaning anyone is able to come. Sign up via link below. In the sign up genius, you are signing up a number of people, not number of pots.

2.) A private class:
-You choose time (during day or evening), date, and who comes to your class. No extra cost for private class. Sign up via Facebook Messenger to see what dates and times are available. Have to start no later than 5:15 pm on evenings due to no lights in greenhouse.

-->All pots must be picked up by May 30th. The greenhouse gets terribly hot by June 1st. $2.00 a day fee will be applied after this date.

-----Information to remember------

🌼 All pots MUST BE EMPTY when arriving at the greenhouse.

-no dirt
-no old icky items for filling voids
-containers must be CLEAN and RINSED out.

This is to keep our greenhouse free from accidentally bringing "friends" ( aka bugs) from home. Bugs harbor over winter in old potting soil. No exceptions!

🌼 Your name AND phone number must be written on the bottom of all containers or hanging baskets.

🌼 You will only pay for the product you use to complete your pots or hanging baskets and $5.00 fee per pot or basket to maintain while in greenhouse.

-For example: potting soil, fabric, styrofoam, coco liner, plants, plastic liners, and etc that is provided by The Tree Farm Inc. for purchase.

🌼 You may bring CLEAN items to use to fill voids in large pots.

-For example, washed out milk jugs, styrofoam, chopped up pool noodles, and etc.

Now for the tricky part.....sign up FAST. These classes fill up very fast and we don't want you to miss out!! At some point due to space we will set a container limit, but in the beginning there are no limits to how many containers you bring... early bird gets the worm situation.

I've never been so happy to pressure wash out a greenhouse in my entire life! The covering was finished yesterday, we cleaned, washed, and set up to finish our potting of plugs. Be on the look out for sign ups this afternoon! I'll release the info for signing up for private and group classes. So excited!!!

Spring 2026 Potting class announcements. Yes we will be having our annual potting classes, just at a little different start time.

Unfortunately last week's storm took out our big greenhouse. We have a rush order on a new covering and hope to see it by the end of this week or the beginning of next. It will take us a day to put it on, but has to be with little to no wind.
