When the chance to visit a new to you cidery comes up, it's hard to say no. I was more than happy to swing through to to drop off their award that they had won from earlier in the year when it was presented at

This place has been on my radar for years, seeing how close to I-81 it is, but fate held that card until this day to mark them off the list.

Owners George & Wendy are friendly and knowledgeable people who have set up a very cozy and fun space with both their outside bar, and the inside tap room which was the "Last Leg" on a stagecoach route back in the 1800s. Not the origin of the cidery's name, but some things are just meant to be.

I had a taste of several of their products, including the award winning tried & true. Never have I seen another cider producer use agave nectar in a cider in any capacity. I know from my days drinking pre-Stevia Liquid Death that agave nectar is expensive, but truly creates a fine product. This results in a soothing, super drinkable frag ship that just seems to vanish from the glass!

Additionally, there's plenty of made to order food to pair with that mysteriously disappearing cider, including my favorite - Big AssΒ© Pretzel.

This place gives me big vibes with just incredibly friendly owners, the coziness of a tasting room in a "house", and also very welcoming customers! I had several conversations with other patrons which really extended my stay, but was oh so worth that time. I can't wait to see what new releases they come out with, and hey, if you're coming through Scranton, be sure to hit the last cidery in PA on that route...the Last Leg you could say! Cheers!
