PSA: Do not watch The Sheep Detectives unless you’re financially and emotionally prepared to own sheep. 🤣🤣🤣10/10 movie though… but apparently it was an adoption advertisement & yes we named two of them after sheep in the movie. We have a Mopple, Sebastian, Lilac, & Dolly.

Proud new owners of 4 horned Jacobs Sheep. Once they’re settled I’ll get pictures of them all.

Maple syrup starts long before the sap runs.We’re always looking for ways to improve our tubing system, and switching from traditional saddles to spin seals is high on the list. Better seals = better vacuum = more sap collection efficiency.

The Steiner’s Running Wild kids went camping. ❤️🍁❤️🍁❤️ a little freedom, a lot of trust and a memorable night. One thing our maple syrup business has taught us is that capable kids are so important. Around here, the kids help collect sap, stack wood, and pitch in when things need to get done. Little by little, they learn they can handle more than they think. So when they asked to go camping on their own, we trusted them. Not because they’re perfect, but because they’ve spent years building confidence and responsibility.

The garden is still taking its sweet time, but the rhubarb never disappoints AND technically we harvested the first “crop” already, maple sap - boiled into our delicious syrup.
🍁 maple rhubarb lemonade with a little lemon balm and bee balm from the garden. Simple ingredients, fresh herbs, and one very opinionated five-year-old who informed me that fancy lemonade requires fancy cups but I think mason jars are just fine!? 🤣

Making Steiners Running Wild Pocket apothecary. We do a lot of work outside and in the maple woods and that means we need a strong salve to keep up with our cuts and bruises. But I got thinking… why can’t it smell great too? We love this!
