As we're officially open with full hours (7am-7pm, Tues-Sat) this week, we want to publicly say THANK YOU to some of the partners that helped us turn a five-room office space into an operating cafe. Although our family took a bootstrap approach to the remodel it couldn't have been done without their expertise in each of their respective fields:
• Mike Floyd (and his assistants Brian Hintz and Gary Gellings) for providing the most beautifully textured walls
• Jamie Richart of Empire Electric for his expert work in rewiring a 100-year-old building
• Ethan and his crew at EC Plumbing for the network of lines and drains that connect our many sinks, coffee machines, filters and more
• Jason Kilps for his engineering expertise and advice
• Benj, Atticus, and Jude Lawrenz for their large soffit building skills
• Groot and Milwaukee Sign Company for our great looking exterior masthead signs
• The Watertown, WI Redevelopment Authority which provided a much-appreciated grant to help fund our signage, HVAC work and a new commercial main entrance door
• The Watertown Main Street Program which supplied a much-appreciated grant to help fund our Main Street signage
• Kelly and his team at Klecker's Heating for hanging our big spiral ductwork
• City of Watertown, WI - Government, particularly those in the Planning and Zoning office, who have patiently worked with an amateur commercial main contractor over the last 18 months.
Apologies to anyone we missed--it's been a long process! If you are interested in any of their services just stop by the cafe and we'd be happy to share our experiences.
