Consistently voted best orchard in Minnesota for Adults & Kids! During orchard season. We are following the state Covid 19 guidelines for orchards. We are closed for the season. Through the winter and into spring Rich is busy pruning apple trees and grapes. We do it ourselves, so it is slow going. In 2022, we hope you can make it to “LIVE MUSIC AT LUCELINE” in the summer of 2022. We’ll announce ou

We have been anxiously waiting for Dolly our pony ride Hafflinger horse to give birth on 7/26/26. She had other ideas! Woke up this morning to this little fella in the pasture!
All of the animals are happy to be around him!

Driving home from an 8th grade baseball game last night between Watertown&Rockford, 3 baby geese were stuck in the railroad tracks with just their heads peaking out. Someone was trying to help them, but traffic was backing up, the neighbor had a dog that would get em and the mother was nowhere to be found. Traffic was backing up so we brought them home and put em in the chicken coop with a hen that has been broody. Last night they were under her. So far so good. 🐥🐥🐥

Bloodroot in bloom! 83 degrees and windy! Apple trees are pruned with new trees to plant. Half of the vineyard is pruned. Rich cultivated the sunflower field and will be planting more alfalfa.
So fun to see the birds arrive!
Harry the sheep gets sheared next week.
Dolly the horse sticking out her tongue. She is due with a foal on 7/26/26!

April showers bring May flowers!

Rooster Pheasants fighting over territory at the farm. They almost sound like ducks!
Just about done pruning apple trees. Grape vines are next, a much easier job. This cool weather helps hold off blossoming.
We’re planting some new apple trees later this month.

Horses had their shots and hooves done Friday and today.

Put down grass seed hoping the rain helps it sprout.

Never a dull moment around here!
