Listen to the words of the bees this holiday season....

The old saying about bees and honey is that "You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar," meaning it's easier to persuade people with kindness and a sweet approach than with rudeness or negativity.

So in other words, "BEE KIND" during the holiday season..."

What does that mean and why?

People can have a feeling of depression during the holiday season due to a combination of factors. Such as; social isolation, seasonal affective disorder because from lack of sunlight, financial stress, grief and loss of a loved one, and unrealistic expectations about creating a perfect holiday. All of these factors can make it difficult to transition back into daily life during and after the holiday season.

Contributing factors

Social isolation and disconnection: Some people have a small social circle or may feel disconnected from others, leading to loneliness during a time that emphasizes togetherness. Some may not have any family left to celebrate the holidays with.

Grief and loss: For those who have lost a loved one, the holidays can be a particularly difficult time, magnifying feelings of grief and sadness.

Financial stress: Worries about affording gifts, travel, and holiday-related activities can cause significant anxiety and depression.

Unrealistic expectations: Comparing the current holidays to idealized memories of the past can lead to sadness and disappointment if the reality doesn't match. Focusing on creating new memories can be helpful.

Emotional and physical drain: The pressure to be constantly festive can be exhausting. The period after the holidays can feel particularly draining, leading to a "holiday letdown".

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD): This type of depression is linked to the shorter daylight hours of winter, leading to symptoms like low energy and sadness. Less sunlight can affect serotonin levels and increase melatonin production, which can disrupt sleep patterns.

So please remember to "Be Kind" my friends!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Honey Lavender Tea

This tea contains relaxing, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties that can offer several health benefits.

Honey Lavender tea can be consumed to reduce anxiety, combat headaches, improve sleep quality, relieve period cramps and boost immunity. It naturally contains linalool, an essential oil that has carminative, tonic and digestive actions.

In addition, the honey promotes melatonin production by using its glucose that triggers a mild insulin release, which helps facilitate the transport of tryptophan into the brain. There, the tryptophan is then converted into serotonin and then melatonin, (the hormone that regulates your sleep-wake cycle).

I created my Infused Lavender Honey four years ago in 2021, and I never thought in my wildest dreams how well this product would do. I originally created this honey to help treat my PTSD as well as my insomnia and to my surprise it exceeded my expectations.

I hope you all enjoy and experience the same benefits I did, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting my ventures!
