Took a peek at this cute little 5 week old black Polish buck. 🖤 He's in a litter of five, 3 black + 2 broken black. Really hoping his ears stay nice and open like that...but they often trick us - ears can change SO much as they grow!

The boys had a fun evening at the Wood Co. Rabbit Showmanship Clinic! 🍀

They definitely learned some new skills to work on! It's so great to see the rabbit exhibitors in our club multiply! In 2024, the boys were our club 's only 🐰 exhibitors, showing 4 rabbits total. In 2025, our club had 3 rabbit exhibitors, showing 17 rabbits total. THIS year for 2026, our club has 7 rabbit exhibitors showing a total of 27 rabbits! WOW!! 👏🏼 👏🏼

Go Club! 🥳! The boys are excited to have more friends to hang out with in the bunny barn during fair week, pictured with them is one of their 4H Club buddies (don't mind the smiley face, hehe! I try not to post pics of others' kiddos to respect their privacy since our page is very public!)

📢 "Show Team... ASSEMBLE!" 📢

The boys are showing for the final time this weekend before their county fair in August. They originally planned on bringing 13 rabbits to show, but after entry day evaluations - we found some molting, a bit too much baby fuzz, and a couple chipped teeth. Shucks! They are down to 9 show bunnies this time, but that makes packing lighter 🤪🧳

Paxton will be showing 1 Netherland Dwarf and 6 Polish. Tripp will be showing 2 Polish. No Lionheads this time, as Paxton's spring show team is now molting and his summer/fall team isn't quite ready yet. Gotta love that 3 month show life! 😁🥑

Really hoping to get 3 of the Polish registered/granded. Some of the shows haven't had registrars lately, or if so, we haven't been able to find them. The dewlap fairy is coming after Wilma and Cinderace, as the hormones are flying here in the barn! Wilma has NOT been bred but we recently found her pulling fur. Oye! She wants to be a mama too! Hoping they can get registered quickly before it's too late!🤞🏼

Wow, look how much Peanut has grown in just 1.5 weeks! 🥜🥰

Watching this girl unfold is making us more and more excited! It's hard when you have a single kit litter and all your eggs are in one basket 🧺 But so far it's looking to be a good egg indeed! Really 🙏🏼 for that wool and saddle fur to match her structure.

A big THANK YOU to the boys' Papa Bellner for using his woodworking skills to make the boys an amazing set of bunny jumps. ♥️🐰

Rasputin was super excited and flew over them quite gracefully. Paxton harnessed Sleepy up for the very first time, and he certainly was not sleepy ... more like a drunken sailor 🫣 but still great for a first time jumping!

Cute 4 month old black buck! Again, this comes down to us having 3 full sibling bucks and truly not needing to keep them all.. we wish he was a doe! 😭 Paxton named this buck, LOL - "Snitch" we call him for short. Paxton has decided he would like to keep Snitch 's full brother, "Sleepy" (broken black) and Tripp is going to show his other full brother, "Little Jerry" (blue) at fair in August.

Snitch has been shown twice and got good comments from the judges, placing 2nd Jr. Black Buck in both shows. We are still waiting for his baby coat to molt out, but for being a baby coat it's nice enough that Paxton put him on the table anyway! Snitch has a bold eye and very good ear substance + furring - slight ear gap. Once his head pops it should really tie that ear and eye together nicely! He poses beautifully with good depth, smooth body and good HQ. He does peak too far forward, so you would want to pair him with a doe who peaks more correct. Nice straight, compact hocks on this guy!

Nice brood opportunity! Bamboo was in a litter of 3 and we are keeping her blue sister (Jerry's Wife!) and broken black brother (Panda) to grow out. We have a bad habit of keeping whole litters lately, so we are going to offer up Bamboo as a future brood doe for someone! She's lacking enough broken color for the show table, but could still contribute to a herd. Bamboo has a nice body coming in - she's looking like she will grow up to be a juicy girl with good type - a bit longer in mid section to carry those kits! She's definitely a doe that can help with body type and thicker ear substance! She could use a smaller ear with better shape - so if you've got a buck to even her out then I'd be excited to see what she produces. We have a little buck in mind for her if she ends up staying here, but we shall see!

Here is a short video that shows how quick and easy it is to use a tattoo clamp. We don't usually use a bunny wrap for clamp tattooing, because Paxton typically just bear hugs the rabbits while I quickly clamp. But, the boys were off doing batting practice and bowling with Shawn, and I was feeling kind - so I figured it would be a good opportunity to tattoo a few 8 week olds for them and show that this can easily be done by yourself as well!

We DO also have a tattoo pen, and have pen tattooed many bunnies. But, we are definitely in our quick, easy and no-fuss era! Hope this video helps!
