Fall is right around the corner, and we’re kicking off the month with a massive downtown celebration you won't want to miss!

Here is what’s happening at the shop this September:

FIRST FRIDAY BLOCK PARTY & ORGANIC WINES
Friday, September 4th
Block Party: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Wine Tasting: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Downtown Waterville is throwing a huge block party to celebrate 50 years of the Common Ground Country Fair! Main Street will be buzzing with 50+ vendors, live music, farm animals, carriage rides, and chalk art. To honor the fair's organic roots, we’ll be pouring a special selection of delicious organic wines inside the shop from 5:00 to 7:00 PM! Stop by, grab a glass, and celebrate with the whole community.

WINE & MAINE CHEESE PAIRING EVENT
Saturday, September 12th | 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM

Kick off Maine Cheese Festival weekend with an artisan wine and local cheese pairing at the shop! Afterward, head over to the Maine Film Center for a 7:00 PM screening of the film Holy Cow.

We are thrilled to host part of a very special double-feature event next month! Join us for Holy Cow Film Night: Maine Cheese & Wine Tasting, serving as the official night-before kickoff to the Maine Cheese Festival!

Start your evening sampling delicious local artisan cheeses expertly paired with hand-selected wines, then head over to catch a special screening of the acclaimed film Holy Cow.

Parents, you’ve survived the back-to-school rush, now it’s time for a study break of your own! Join us for a fun, interactive evening where we hit the books (and the bottles) to explore one of the most famous family trees in the wine world. ✏️

Did you know that Cabernet Sauvignon didn't always exist? It’s actually the natural offspring of a sneaky vineyard cross between Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Franc!

We’re pouring all three side-by-side so you can taste the "genetics" for yourself. We'll taste through:

Sauvignon Blanc (The Mother): Crisp, bright acidity, and fresh herbaceous notes.
Cabernet Franc (The Father): Savory spice, red fruit, and subtle bell pepper aromatics.
Cabernet Sauvignon (The Child): Bold structure, rich dark fruit, and the perfect blend of both parents' best traits.

We had such a great time yesterday with Dan from Après! It was so nice seeing so many of you, sipping some delicious seltzers, and seeing the swag you left with! We have plenty of stock of the flavors we poured in the coolers: Sonora, Vodka Lemonade, So Was Red, and Hearts of Pine.

If you weren't able to make it to our last couple of wine tastings, we are also stocked with the favorites from those as well! Our travels through Sicily and Tuscany brought in some incredible wines, and we just had to keep these on the shelves.

We are closed today (Sunday) but will be open 10AM-8PM Monday-Saturday! Come see us and stock up on your favorites, or let us recommend something new to try! Cheers! 🍷
