Today is my last bake day. After a lot of thought and prayer, I’ve made the decision to close my home bakery.
As a stay-at-home-mama pregnant with my second baby, I found myself needing a creative outlet. I had fallen in love with sourdough baking (which I will never stop doing), and decided to take the plunge and start a little business. It gave me something to put my hand to, meet all my neighbors, see my family and friends more often, do some much loved food photography, some events, make some money, and hone my baking skills.
I’ve loved creating and testing recipes and sharing them with you all. I’ve loved learning all the ins and outs of bulk baking. And most of all, I’ve loved meeting new people and making connections along the way.
Doughzy Doats Bakery has served its purpose in my life, and I’ve SO enjoyed this sweet endeavor! Now as I’m working at my home church and increasing my responsibilities and service there, it’s time to let it go. Working for the Lord and for my family are the two greatest honors of my life, and I am excited to have more time and capacity to wholly devote to them.
