Oftentimes we see lots of large companies come out with a new product that either doesn’t fully fill the need or it does and it is not affordable for anyone to use. I had a blast yesterday at Innovation Acres event here in Effingham at The Equity. It was a great event and I enjoyed meeting new people and talking about seed box openers and their efficiency benefits.

A big thank you to The Equity for having me out at their event and for a great booth spot. Also thank you to Bahrns Equipment, Inc. for letting me borrow the forklift for my display and to everyone who purchased a seed box opener while at the event.

Even being recognized at the state level is so exciting. Is the national level next? We will have to wait and see!

Projects to professions!

Charlie Ring of Effingham County shares his Grand Champion project that’s also his company, Farm Engage Agricultural Solutions. Charlie’s innovative seed box opener solved a solution for local farmers and jump started Charlie’s business using skills he learned in 4-H and a CEO class. Right now Charlie is sales, marketing, logistics, and production, but he hopes to expand his company to keep fulfilling more orders.

What else is next for Charlie? He wants to find more pain points for farmers. And keep creating even more solutions.
