Shearing day at R2 Hillside Ranch is June 13th, and right now is literally the best time of the entire year to visit. The alpacas are extra fluffy, extra soft, and honestly extra dramatic about it.

Bring the family out before their yearly haircut! Feed treats to the herd, take photos that will absolutely win the group chat, and enjoy a peaceful afternoon on the ranch in Larkin Valley, Aptos Hills. 🌿

Spend time at R2 Hillside Ranch in Larkin Valley for a peaceful, hands-on wet felting experience with a local fiber artist. We’ll be surrounded by alpacas, creativity, and a really relaxed small-group setting 🤍

Beautiful day, blue skies, and extra fluffy alpacas. 🦙☀️

This is peak fluff season around the ranch, and honestly, they know they look good.

Fun trivia: Alpacas are usually sheared once a year, especially before warmer weather. Their fleece can get really thick, so shearing helps keep them cool and comfortable and most of them seem pretty happy after their fresh haircut.
