Good afternoon Farm Followers!
We will be at Tractor Supply in Springdale this Saturday, but... we only have one puppy left!!
Her nemae is Cadance. One masked female.
Reach out to us beforehand if you are interested.
We had a gentleman stop by this morning who heard about our farmily farm from his friend!
Thank you all for sharing about our pups, we really enjoy what we do! Stop by and see us!

We are busy prepping fall planting. That means getting the orchard full of trees! We are also still working on sealing up the garden from hungry critters.
Lots of baking and cooking inside, lots of sweating and building outside!

I know it's been quiet on our page but it certainly hasn't been here! We have had quite the dry spell with really high temps. We have been doing alot of work on the inside! :)
We've also been... prepping the orchard for planting trees, prepping the piglet paddock for next years pigs, prepping the ground to build the greenhouse, building our custom bbq, and ofcourse upkeep and repairs. We also have alot of new keets and chicks roaming the farm.
The drought completely dried up our pond! Sigh. Oh farm life.
We are ready for next Saturday's adoption event! Here are some pics of our newest LGDs looking for homes. Gender and names in comments.

For those followers who are anticipating Charley's next litter ...she is very pregnant and doing very well! She amazes me. She is in great health and STILL guarding the farm and is alert to any unusual activity. We are so blessed to have her. She is such a great benefit and joy to us and the farm!

We have installed our first rain barrel for the greenhouse!! We are very excited to bring produce and herbs and starts and....[well you get the point] to our community in the future!
It's a whopping 400 gallon tank!
We are all so very excited for leveling the area where the greenhouse will go. Its a beauty. And can withstand up to 150mph winds.

We continue to chip away at our long list of repairs. It's REALLY nice when something works and functions again isn't it? :)

We have invested in a wood chipper. We are just too far out of the way to have company's do drop offs here. And woodchips are a large staple of our garden. We unapologetically do no till gardening with organic practices.

We had another illness set back (tummy bug)
But its pretty much gone now.
We have available this week

Nocoso chicken eggs
healthy male roosters

firewood

Updates
We are working on building our own custom bbq this week.
And we finally have gutters put up on the house!
Wow what a difference it makes.
Shout out to Yoder Bros Seamless gutters. I highly recommend them!
We are also berry picking this month.
Black raspberries and mulberries!! Mmmmm
We were able to manage a few minor repairs while some of us were sick. We didn't even go grocery shopping last week. So grateful for a deep pantry to get us through!
I so enjoy this farm life.

Time flies when you're not looking at the time.
OUR UPDATES
We have new ducks on the farm
We put in a tractor port.
We are clearing a road way for the tractor.
We are ALWAYS making repairs...oh my.
We will be installing a vent for our pantry room that does not like to stay cool in our Oklahoma heat.
We finished installing critter fencing around the perimeter of the garden. Eek. One step closer to a harvest
Well that feels better. See, if I just list things off I can see we are actually getting things accomplished.

FRIDAYS FARM MODIFICATION FACEBOOK POST UPDATES

Well we survived. It was a hard week. Sometimes stress and pressure are overwhelming. But God is STILL good. He knows.
We have good neighbors and I'm thankful for their help.
So, what has changed at Joyful Seeds? We have prepped the orchard for digging holes this fall! VERY exciting.
We are putting up critter fencing around the produce garden perimeter.
We built a rain water run off and it worked! We no longer get standing water in pasture #2!
Again, we are all VERY excited to see success.
Because of the new nesting boxes, our LGDs are no longer eating up the eggs!
SUCCESS! YAY!
We are so thankful to be together, working together, and loving each others company. God is so rich in His gifts!
I really need to get better at updating with pictures! :)

We have eggs!
We raise our chickens to free range on 13 acres of organic grass pasture. We use corn free, soy free supplemental feed.
Our chicken eggs taste amazing! Dark rich orange yolks! Rich in nutrients. Their diet mainly consists of plants and bugs, the way God intended.
$7 a dozen

We also have firewood!

We also have round bales of unsprayed hay!
