Pollard Farms Sets National Record at Beaver County Stockyards
History was made on Tuesday, July 22nd at the Beaver County Stockyards as Pollard Farms of Waukomis, Oklahoma shattered a national beef price record with a standout set of weaned steers. Weighing in at 467 pounds and coming straight off grass, the steers commanded an impressive $507.50 per hundred weight — a record-breaking figure that captured the attention of cattlemen across the country.
The high-quality genetics, exceptional condition, and uniformity of the steers were undeniable, earning widespread praise from buyers and industry experts alike. “These calves had the look, the performance, and the background to bring top dollar,” said one stockyard representative. “Pollard Farms raised the bar today.”
The excitement didn’t stop with the calves. In a strong cow market, Pollard Farms continued to impress by topping the board with a group of short solid-mouth cows (ages 7–9 years) that brought up to $3,200 per head — another standout moment in an already record-setting day.
With a long-standing reputation for producing elite Angus genetics, Pollard Farms continues to lead the way in quality, performance, and market demand.
