Our Dad & Husband Tom, started his first swine 4-H project in 1969 with the guidance and patience of my parents Harold and Rose Ann Rake, Beaver Dam, WI. After the death of his father in 1971, his high school Ag Instructor Rudy Van Fleet encouraged him to continue raising hogs. Tom fueled his passion by mentoring others, especially with 4-H and FFA programs. One of his life goals was to teach the

next generations about swine. Tom also established himself as a nationally recognized premier breeder of Chester Whites. Rake genetics still continued to grow and expanded in Waunakee, WI. Our facilities are built with open air, using bedding and old-fashioned management. Conventional health and practical animal husbandry produce animals that are hardy and well adaptive. Seed stock has been placed throughout the United States and exported. Currently eighty sows of four breeds make up the Waunakee Nucleus herd. Several of our affiliate herds produce large groups of crossbred gilts and monitor high standards of health and management practices. Breeding boars and gilts are available for sale year around. Large groups of boars are available with notice. Show pigs are sold privately and through Spring Sales. Service and customer satisfaction is our priority. Feel free to call or email us.

Clint is the kind of person this industry needs more of …honest, genuine, and someone who stands behind both his word and his livestock. He’s helped our family more than he knows over the last few years, and we can’t thank him enough for that.
