They’re right…heifers will be 🔥 with their new tags 💜.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll gladly say it again, one of my favorite parts of running Copper Mine Laser Design LLC is getting the opportunity to meet and learn from other local businesses right here in Merrill, Wisconsin.

Recently I had the chance to work with Double State Farms and it was a fun project from start to finish! We teamed up to create their logo and create custom cattle tags featuring their branding. Safe to say those cattle are heading out to pasture with some serious new farm bling now!

When I started laser engraving, I honestly never expected I’d be learning this much about agriculture and livestock. Since opening the shop I’ve had the opportunity to create cattle tags, goat name tags, awards for the Lincoln County Fair, FFA awards, custom signs for duck enthusiasts, and so much more!

And I’ll be honest… I had no idea there were THAT many breeds of cows, goats, ducks, sheep, pigs, and chickens. I thought a cow was just… a cow. The farming community quickly proved me wrong!

To all of the farmers, ranchers, fair families, FFA members, and agriculture businesses that have trusted me with your projects, thank you for letting me step into your world a little bit. I’ve learned far more than just engraving techniques along the way.

One of his red heifers had a bull.
His cow had a heifer. He loves red cows ❤️.
His 2nd red heifer is up next to calve and we have bets on heifer or bull.

Happy Birthday 🎉🎂 to the Queen 👑 of our dairy barn 🤎🐮, Elsa. She has the best cream line I could ever ask for 😍. I got Elsa on a whim and knew nothing about her. Little did we know, she’s almost as good as they get (IMO).

Fake spring has us amped up about fresh garden veggies. For now, we will enjoy our greens (pea micros) from a local greenhouse, tomatos 🍅 (crying because they are not local organic tomatoes), bacon 🥓 from our hogs, fresh butt nuggets 🥚, and homemade bread/buns, until actual spring.
