It’s been a Piggie full couple of days here at the farm. Lots of littles. They should keep the mama’s busy for a while. They will all be offered for sale when they are weaned. All are from registered Kune Kune parents that are on site but we wont be looking to paper these.

The calves love their halter days. It’s all about the ‘new’ grass that they find. Always tastes better over there.

Our view each day when the queen yak walks into the barn to be milked. Amazing Normande herd boss lady.
Can you imagine milking this girl? She’s a big’un

Today was the day. These fellas went off to camp. They lived their bestest life munching grass and keeping watch over their territory. Not one stressful moment. We are grateful.
Now I can’t wait to see what comes back for the freezer. I’m ready for a homegrown steak!

Welp, uggggggghhhhhhh.
You wouldn’t know from these pictures though how fortunate we are. Usually the truck would be parked there (we were milking at the time) and it didn’t but just knock the gutter off and scratch the siding of the house.
The chickens are confused this morning as to where they can lay their eggs and they were pretty spun out last night. We pulled a few from the rubble and I think we only lost one. Poor girl was just trying to hold up her house.
Off to chop wood.

This little chicken. She’s a white Sussex. Her name is Winnie. We almost lost her to a fox a couple of weeks ago and it took off all of her tail feathers. They are now growing back and she has lots of Piggie protection.

I love when the girls are on green grass! Hooray for springtime.
