At Flying 86 Farm, we have a small herd of Irish Dexter cattle fed and finished on quality grasses and alfalfa, with no added hormones. Dexters are docile, thrifty grazers and easy calvers--these are just a few of the reasons we have chosen this wonderful heritage breed. We utilize genetic testing and select bloodlines that enhance marbling, rib eye size, and other key characteristics as part of our continuous effort to improve our product and promote diversity in breeding stock.
We raise our beef as naturally as possible. Our goal is not to produce commercial beef on a large scale, but rather to promote local agriculture and produce humanely managed and environmentally responsibly raised boutique beef for ourselves and our customers who share these values. Custom processed locally to your specifications.
In addition to raising the most natural beef possible with TLC, we also employ regenerative agricultural practices. This means that we are focused on the conserving the environment with grazing and management practices that improve soil health, and by minimizing the amount of chemicals and synthetic fertilizers utilized.
We typically have a limited number of beeves for sale by the half or whole. A whole generally results in about 330 pounds of meat for your freezer (will vary by animal). Reserve now with a $100 deposit.
