Pine Grove

Pine Grove Registered Chianina and Maine-Anjou Pine Grove was started in 1993 by Dave. Then their second year, they both took a Market Steer.

Drand (our brother) started showing Market Steers at the Auglaize County Fair at that time. Then in 1998, Laina and Sarah started showing with just taking two feeder calves to the county fair their first year. Drand, Laina, and Sarah for several years just showed at their county fair. Then in 2003, Laina and Sarah exhibited for the first time at the Ohio State Fair. Both girls really enjoyed it, a

nd decided that they wanted to show their cattle all over Ohio instead of just at county fair. In 2005, the girls joined the BEST Program (Beef Exhibitor Show Total) that is put on by the Ohio Cattlemen's Association. The girls were involved in that program for 5 years. Also, in 2005, the girls traveled to Missouri for the first Junior National Show. Ever since 2005, the girls have traveled to different states to show at the Junior Nationals. We have continuly shown at county, state, and national levels!
