After glancing at the forecast yesterday, I see that we will most likely get our first frost this Saturday morning and that will end our field flower’s season. (We should have hoophouse bouquets for a couple of more week though.)

To celebrate, and yes, I mean celebrate because I’m ready for a break, I am offering $20 off my DIY buckets for this week only! Get 60+ stems of mixed flowers of my choice in a bucket for just $70 (normally $90)!!! Pick-up will be at the Barber Orchards Produce area cashier on your choice of Wednesday-Sunday this week. Please note that Barber’s will be very busy this weekend so plan accordingly. Last call for you-pick flowers! Next Sunday, October 18 is our last day for the season.🍁💐

We'll be open all this week 9-7:00 and we still have tons of dahlias, sunflowers, zinnias, etc. Our field address is 2900 Old Balsam Road Waynesville NC. Across the road from Barber Orchards Fruit Stand.

Mix flower cups are $25, All dahlia cups are $35, and mixed flower buckets are $90. We accept cash, card, PayPal, and Venmo.

We're hiring for the Dahlia Dividing Season!🪏🌸

In just a few short weeks, fresh flower season will be over, and we will begin digging, washing, dividing, and storing our dahlia tubers for the winter.

We need extra help during this time to get our 1,000 dahlia plants stored safely for winter in our cooler. So, I will be hiring one person to start work October 26 and this job will run until we complete dividing and storing our dahlia tubers for the season. Approximately 3-4 weeks. The pay is $16 an hour and we will work Monday-Thursday 9-12:00. To apply for this job, you must be able to see tiny dahlia eyes (2-3 mm wide) and stand for 3 hours. Most of the work is done inside our heated workshop but you may be asked to help pick up clumps from the field or wash our tuber clumps outside as well.

I made this lovely arrangement for my own table this morning. Frost is just around the corner and I don't have many more opportunities to play with my own farm's fresh flowers.

This arrangement is such a good representation of my style. You won't find the typical florist arrangements at Pinnacle Farms. I love the cottage garden style arrangements. They're so cheerful and pure. And they never remind me of funeral home arrangements like most traditional florist.

Today, September 29, is my 40th Birthday!!! 🥳🎂 This part 10 and our final video in our series 40 Bouquet Giveaways for my 40th Birthday.

Bouquet number 39 goes on my Papaw Kelley's grave. He passed away when I was 8 years old but I got to make so many good memories with him during that time. My final bouquet goes to my parents. I mean after all, the are the reason I have a birthday today. 😊

Thank you for helping me celebrate my birthday all month long and I hope you have enjoyed this series as much as I have! 🫶
