This will likely be the last week for it! We won't be adding any new temporary pizzas for a while............. because we're gonna start bringing back some old ones again. Cant wait!

I've got a bit of a rant due to an incident that happened at a non-pizza shop establishment over the weekend.

There was a case where an employee did something that was not the smartest thing someone could do. A customer was (understandably) VERY upset and went on Social Media to rant about this this.

So many people were immediately calling for a massive boycott of this place, demanding they be shut down/sued out of existence. One of their competitors made a snarky post that was indirectly calling them out.

How did the business respond? Well, they instantly apologized for the employee making a mistake, clarified that the employee was not enforcing an official policy, and said that they'll go over training again.

OK, wow. Let's all move on with our lives.

That's NOT what happened at all. People are saying they don't accept the apology and still wanting to go after the business.

The staff member then quit their job. Maybe it's due to embarrassment/feeling bad. Maybe they feel guilty about their actions. Maybe it's due to fear of deranged person coming into their establishment and causing them harm and want to protect their coworkers. I don't know. I've never been inside of this particular business and don't know any of the staff or the owners, so I'm not going to speculate on why they quit, but it should be over and it's not.

This whole thing just brings up an point:

Do you really think that a business owner who potentially invested their entire life savings in a business deserves to go bankrupt because they hired an employee who made a mistake? Do you think they should possibly end up living on the street? Do you think every other employee should lose their job and have to find another one? Do you think the entire community should not be able to enjoy a business because of this?

If it was the business owner who did this? It would be a TOTALLY different story. There are businesses I don't go into due to the actions of the owner!

It the business came out, defended the actions of the employee, and said it's an official policy? Then yeah, different story. I've avoided businesses because I didn't like how they responded to things.

But come on people. You have to give a little bit of leeway to a business when they hire an employee who makes a mistake or does something not very wise.

"It's on the employer to provide better training!" Is what some people say. Yeah, it ultimately is. Businesses go over training with employees, the employees start working, then they never encounter a specific issue, they forget the training, and then the issue does come up and they handle it wrong.

Every business is going to hire an employee who makes a mistake from time to time, but how they respond is what should matter. If you're a business owner and you see one of your competitors getting dog piled over an employee making a mistake, it's probably not the best to make posts showing how much better you are than that business.

Yeah, you will get some easy clicks for a day or two. You will get an influx of new customers who are happy. But in the long run, you're just perpetuating this online mob culture. It's only a matter of time before your business hires the wrong employee who makes a mistake, and the same thing happens to you.

Hope everyone enjoyed their Monday away from Roscoe's Pizza! This is the last Monday we'll be closed for a couple weeks......... because we're open next Monday for Labor Day!

Yes, you heard that right. We're opening special just on Monday September 7th from 3PM-9PM. If you can only get here on Mondays, or if you're at the lake, that would be the perfect time to come and see us!

We've been open on most major holidays since we opened. It's not guaranteed we'll be open in the future. It does depend on staffing and other issues but we offer time and a half pay (2X on Christmas), people wanted to work, so we're opening from 3PM-9PM. Can't wait!

Thanks for a great week here everyone! This has been one of the most unique weeks in Roscoe's Pizza history.

We ordered the PERFECT amount of just about every major item this week.

We are on our final case of Cauliflower Crust, Sub Buns, and Deep Dish Cheese sticks. Pretty low on Large/Smalls too.

Normally we want to have a few extra cases, but you all purchased them because IT GOT BUSY throughout the weekend!

The one thing nobody ordered? Minis. We have SO MANY LEFTOVER.

The Mini pizzas used to be our best selling pizza, by far. Then when we got rid of Mediums (back in Spring 2025), the Small and Large increased by quite a bit! Minis were still the best seller, followed by large, then small.

In the last few months, we've seen small pizzas take away the "market share" from mini pizzas. Now small and larges sell consistent amounts while minis are the worst selling size of pizza, by far. I guess we've been open so long now that everyone knows which pizzas they love already! The minis aren't going to go away or anything, as they're still great for someone with a smaller appetite and for new people. But I think most people around here know which pizza to get now!

Well, the Michigan Olive Burger temporary pizza fell off completely in week #2. Not sure what happened. I'm guessing that everyone who really wanted to try it came in ASAP! We've only sold 7 so far this week, with one more day. The feedback on it is still great! Just last week it outsold all pizzas besides the Pickle Pie, Crab Rangoon, Honey Romano Pepperoni, and Supreme; while this week it's definitely not ending in the top 10. Get it while you still can!

The Clark Bar dessert is mostly gone. I think we have enough for about 10 of them. I'm not saying that tomorrow will be the last day for it, but it could be if it sells because it's been a huge hit. This is one that WILL come back in the future, probably when Season 5 of Reacher comes out next year. If we don't sell out tomorrow, we'll have it part of next week, but we're bringing another dessert in next weekend. This will be a dessert pizza. Just stay tuned to the page!

Former Roscoe's employee will be bartending at Coletranes tomorrow! (This is an old pic, she's 21 now.)

In this day and age, some people think kids are lazy. Not her. She started working here when she was 14. She quit when she turned 18 and had more opporunities, but she's come back and worked almost every Christmas for double pay. She's also filled in almost every time we've been short-staffed. She's worked at least one day in the last few years on Easter, Memorial Day, and Celtic Fest!

She's only working at Coletranes tomorrow to test it out. Come and get a pizza, then eat it at the bar with a Roscoe's veteran as your bartender. She'll be in from 4.

Got some exciting news for tomorrow, Sunday! This girl right here, Riley, started working at Roscoe's Pizza - Corwin, Ohio when she was 14 years old, two days after the grand opening.

She worked at Roscoe's until she was 18 and more opportunities opened up for her. Here is a picture when she won the claw machine, about 4-5 years ago.

She expressed interest in bartending when she turned 21. She just had her 21st birthday a few weeks ago! Now, she enrolled in school (good for her) and won't be able to really bartend here due to other commitments......... but she has tomorrow free and will be trying it out to see if she likes it. She'll be here between 4PM-9PM! If you know Riley, come out and see her!

Picked these up at Simple Roots Bulk Foods today! Not sure if I've seen these anywhere besides a movie theater before, but I think these taste better than the ones you get at the theater. If you don't know about simple roots, they're located in old Corwin and opened up a few years ago. If you haven't been there yet, you're really missing out!

On the topic of Mullet review........ we have a pizza named after him! It's called the Mullet! We were (I think) the 15th restaurant he ever reviewed back when he was getting started in June 2024. In July, we launched this pizza in honor of him.

The Mullet has a Boss Sauce as a Base (Boss Sauce is Ranch, Garlic Butter, and Hot Sauce mixed together), Pizza Cheese, Chicken, Bacon, Honey, and Grippos Seasoning. Then it gets Ranch added post-bake.

It was (at the time) our 102nd specialty pizza, but we made quite a few reductions this past year and now we have 57......... but this one sold VERY well and it made the cut.

We used say "This pizza is not guaranteed to help you grow a Mullet" as a joke - but now we might need to say "If you eat this pizza 80 days in a row, you are not guaranteed to have the same physique as Mullet review."

08/27/2026

Am I the only one who doesn't understand how Mullet review can maintain his physique while going to a different Chinese Buffet for 79 days in a row?

Hmmmmm. Where could this possibly be from? 😀
