A Little Bit of Everything… and I Wouldn’t Change a Thing. 🥰

The last few days have been a little bit of everything!

Friday brought the Homecoming Parade, football game, band halftime show, and senior pictures.

Saturday was the all day and night Valhalla Band Competition.

Sunday was back to senior pictures at our farm.

And Tuesday… well, Tuesday took me to one of my favorite places — 4-J Big Piney Horse Camp ❤️🐴

I spent the day at 4J taking pictures, visiting with friends and family, and soaking up a little bit of my favorite kind of busy. 🥰

But when there are only two of you left at home to keep up with all the farms and critters, part of a day away means everything still has to be taken care of when you get home. So tonight brought late-night feedings for everyone — horses, cows, chickens, and yes… us! 😂

It's a lot. Some days are really a lot.

But honestly? I wouldn't change a thing. ❤️

Now I have 5,000+ pictures waiting to be edited, and I can't wait to get through them and start sharing all the memories I've captured over the last few days. 📸

But for tonight, you just get this one…

This was the view when I opened the gate to feed the last group of cows tonight. And if you look closely, there's my favorite girl waiting right where she always is…

Always waiting on her food and a few good scratches. Always making me smile.

It's a busy life, but it's our life — and I'm pretty thankful for every bit of it. ❤️

Had the pleasure of taking pictures of this beautiful boy for his owner Caroline Diedrich Anderson before he heads back home after his training season at the 4-J Horse Sales barn. ❤️

I’m hoping to capture a few more images of him in the river while he’s with us at 4-J Big Piney Horse Camp.

There’s something special about getting to watch these horses grow, learn, and become the best versions of themselves—and even more special when I get to capture a little piece of their story through my lens. 🐴📸❤️ - Wendy

I snapped this shot a few nights ago and couldn’t help but think about Sunday night’s photo shoot! The combine, the freshly cut field, and that sunset were pretty hard to beat.

More Than Meets the Eye 👁️🐅🎶

Last week I had the privilege of stepping in during Marching Band practice, and let me tell you… these kids WORK HARD! 👏

When you watch them perform, you see the music, the formations and the show. But there’s so much more happening behind the scenes to make those few minutes on the field come together.

They have to memorize music for an entire show, learn choreography, remember formations, stay in sync with each other and keep moving while playing their instruments. And yes… they even added a few dancing moves to the routine. I wouldn’t exactly call them dancers, but I’ll give them an A for effort! 😂

And then there’s Color Guard—tossing flags, ri**es and sabres while remembering their own choreography and staying perfectly in sync with the band. Talk about coordination!

All I can say is WOW. These kids are putting in the time, effort and dedication, and it shows. I’m so proud to photograph them and can’t wait to watch all that hard work come together on the field!

So if you’re at the game Friday night, be sure to hang around for the halftime show. You won’t be disappointed! 🧡🖤

It’s going to be a busy one around here! 📸

Today, I’ll be headed out to take some pictures for 4-J Horse Sales, then it’s on to a full weekend of capturing all things Waymesville High School! 🐯🖤🧡

📍 Friday — WHS Homecoming Parade
🏈 WHS Football Game
🎺 WHS Tiger Band Halftime Show
📍 Saturday — All-day Vallahalla Band Competition

And then Tuesday… I’ll be headed to my favorite place — 4-J Big Piney Horse Camp! 🐴🏞❤️
