Today, all of us at Ben’s Backdraft Barbecue honor Durham firefighter Andrew Brokes, who lost his life in the line of duty while serving his community.

As a firefighter-owned business, this loss hits close to home. Behind every badge is a person, a family, and a crew who loves them.

We are praying for Andrew’s family, his brothers and sisters at the Durham Fire Department, and the firefighters injured in this tragedy. May God bring them comfort, strength, and healing in the days ahead.

Rest easy, brother. We honor your service and sacrifice. 🇺🇸

🏈 It’s BIG GAME WEEK in Haywood County!

The Tuscola–Pisgah rivalry is about more than football. It’s hometown pride, family traditions, and generations of fans cheering for their community. For the players taking that field Friday night, it’s a moment they’ll remember for the rest of their lives. Play hard, represent your school with pride, and leave it all on the field!

We’re bringing our normal specials to the table this week:
