Most of our keeper girls from this year beautifying the front pasture. I’ve not made friends with all of them, yet!

Penny Lane, on the culvert, red with the white band, has not forgiven me for stapling her 4” gash, but it’s healing really nicely. My Pickle girl!

Ruby ‘Tuesday’, the other red girl, has a red head attitude and will not let me touch her AT ALL!, but her brother is super friendly! Do you have anyone like that in your family? Don’t tell her she was born on a Saturday, lol.

Valerie, the red butted doe born on Valentine’s Day, is stuck up and think she’s all that! Must have gotten it from her mother, Cindy Lou Who. She really is ‘ALL THAT’, such eye candy!

Moonlight, on the ground by the rock, a MoonSpot daughter. She’s a true wether dam doe that would look great even in a market class. She likes her back scratched and has the sweetest personality. She could be up for grabs for the right price. I could see her winning, winning, winning!

Westfall’s Wild Willow standing on the rock. Her name says it all! She could clear a 5’ fence if she thought you were going to touch her, 🤣. She gives the appearance of innocence and elegance. That kind will take you down a rabbit hole!

Moonbeam & Jubilee are out of sight, but not out of mind. You’ll see more of them as the summer goes on. This is how we start when they are weaned from mom, attitudes and stand-offs. By the end of summer, I hope to make friends with even the toughest ones! The challenge is accepted!

Looking for a RETIREMENT HOME for these two special girls. 🏡

Many of you know Pickles 🥒 and her ‘Pickle boys’. Her udder has seen better days. Though she produces great kids, her udder hangs too low when she freshens for us to continue to breed her, unless you want to milk her out for a week and then she’s good. I would love to find her greener pastures to live out her days. She’s a nice girl and was shown in 4-H. Pickles is 4, maybe 5.

Dora May, the red doe, is only a 3 year old and got gangrenous mastitis this past year. If you breed her, you would have to bottle feed. She is the ambassador of the barn, not the bully, but the greeter. She is very friendly and would love to help keep your pastures shorter and be given an occasional animal cracker or two. 🥠

SOLD! We sold Pearl and decided to keep Yoda.

Ready to breed. Two Boer does. Pearl, the frosted ear is 3yrs. Yoda, the traditional is 2yrs. Would prefer they go together. Both are friendly.

The troubles the little goats get into.

This is Penny Lane, a keeper doeling. Somehow she managed to create a good 4” gash. After consulting my vet, we decided staples would work since she didn’t tear any muscle, just a nice clean cut.

I was especially blessed that our friend, Jim Pearson, was there getting feed and was willing to help me catch and treat her. She’s was too big for me to lift. He had good advice and encouraging words! God is good!

Fortunately, I had all the supplies on hand. Hmmm…why would I have stuff like this on hand, 😂. I think we did a pretty good job!
