A lot of folks let possums mosey along to live another day, but with all the horses we keep on our property, we can’t have possums making our property their home.

Here’s why: “Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis— more commonly known as EPM— is a disease caused by a single-celled organism, found in opossum f***s, that effects the brain and spinal cord of the horse. Horses are exposed to the organism when they accidentally ingest opossum f***s. This can happen if an opossum comes into contact with a horse’s water and food sources.“

Also, they eat eggs.
