🧵🪡 Sometimes the best projects start with absolutely NO plan! 😂

No pattern to follow. No perfect color scheme. No idea what the finished quilt will look like. Just a pile of fabric, a little creativity, and the joy of seeing what happens!

And you know what? I’m loving it! ❤️

I think sometimes we get so caught up in doing things the right way that we forget how much fun it is to simply CREATE.

Not everything needs a plan. Not everything needs to match. And not everything needs to be perfect.

Sometimes it’s enough to sit down, use what you have, and enjoy the process.

So here’s your little encouragement today: Make something! Try something new! Use those scraps! Break a few creative rules!

You might just surprise yourself with what you come up with. 🥰

Now, will all these colors and blocks come together beautifully? I have absolutely no idea! But we’re going to find out! 😂🧵

She was rescued after being abandoned, and now she’s ready for a fresh start with a family who will love and spoil her rotten!

Did you know Veal Station is one of the oldest communities in Parker County? ❤️

The area was settled in the early 1850s and was originally known as Cream Level, a name said to reflect the rich, desirable land in the area. By 1857, the community became known as Veal’s Station, named for William G. Veal, a Methodist preacher, businessman, educator, and early Parker County leader. (Texas State Historical Association)

Veal’s Station quickly became an important center for education. A large two-story hall built in 1857 served as a school downstairs and a Masonic meeting hall upstairs. Over the years, the community became home to schools often known as Veal’s Station College, Masonic Institute, and Parsons College. At its height, Veal’s Station was even described as the educational capital of Parker County. (Creative Circle)

The old community may look very different today, but its name carries more than 170 years of Parker County history. We’re proud that Veal Station Market gets to carry a little piece of that name forward. ❤️

“Why do people care so much about how I dress?”

Honestly, I have had to defend the way I dress more than I have ever had to defend my faith.

The funny thing is, my clothing is not the foundation of my faith. It is simply one expression of how I personally choose to live it out.

I dress modestly because it reflects my convictions, my values, and what I feel comfortable wearing before God. That does not mean I believe every Christian woman has to dress exactly like me. It does not mean I am judging the woman in jeans, shorts, leggings, or anything else.

But somehow, when you dress differently, people feel like an explanation is required.

Sometimes the most freeing answer is simply:

Because I want to.
Because this is what I believe.
Because this is what brings me peace.
And because following God does not require everyone to look exactly the same.

I would much rather talk about Jesus than spend all my time defending the length of my skirt. ❤️
