These blue Chinese Forget-Me-Nots are so striking in bouquets! The blue is a unique color as it can be challenging to find this color blue flowers. They are a really fun bouquet filler. My only challenge is they tend to wilt in the heat. Unlike some flowers, they are still pretty even as they slightly droop. The first stem seems tougher than subsequent stems on the plant. But it seems like at this point in the season, I’m needing to harvest them around 6:30am the day prior to when I harvest the rest of the bouquet flowers, let them hydrate for 24 hours, and then make the bouquets the next morning. This seems like a lot of planning. 🤪 Not sure if these will be in bouquets Saturday, but we’ll see how motivated I am to cut & handle them during that very small window. 🙃🤷‍♀️

🌸 Cosmos are such a happy flower. 🌸 I grew them last year, but I didn’t use them in bouquets. They require regular dead heading- like every couple of days, and they must be harvested when they are first opening. They only last a few days in the vase, unlike most of the flowers I use in my bouquets. But they add so much fun and color to bouquets, so I am using them this year. 😍😍🌸

❤️ I’m loving these snapdragons! They are tall with sturdy stems and when harvested at the right stage (bottom of the bloom just starting to open), they last so long in the vase. 🥳🥳 That’s one of the really good things about buying locally grown flowers! These snaps smell lovely and the bloom color changes with time. I have been working hard to keep them harvested at the right stage. 🤩😍

And that's a wrap for today! What a wonderful Farm Stand Saturday! 🌻💐

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by the stand today, picked up bouquets, purchased duck eggs, shared our posts, or simply supported our little farm.

Today has been a wonderful reminder of why we do what we do and how grateful we are for this amazing community.

We loved seeing so many of you enjoying the flowers we've worked so hard to grow, and we're already looking forward to doing it again next weekend!

🥳🌻 FARM STAND SATURDAY IS BACK! 🌻🥳

The wait is finally over.

After a six-week break filled with unpredictable weather and flowers that were taking their sweet time, the blooms have finally arrived—and they were worth the wait. 💐

Today's bouquets are filled with sunflowers, snapdragons, larkspur, cosmos, Queen Anne's lace, Chinese forget-me-not, statice, and saponaria.

Farm Stand Saturdays are finally back 🌻

Honestly, this spring has been hard.

Between the unpredictable weather and flowers that seemed determined not to bloom, we’ve spent the last 6 weeks waiting… wondering… and at times questioning whether we were really cut out for this farming life at all.

But farming has a way of teaching patience and humility.

And now, in what feels like perfect timing, the flowers are finally here — and they are beautiful.

This Saturday the farm stand will be stocked again with fresh seasonal bouquets for $25, filled with some of our favorite blooms of the season. They will have sunflowers, snapdragons, larkspur, cosmos, Chinese forget-me-not, saponaria, and statice. We’re so grateful to be back sharing flowers with you again.
