My Daddy used to tell me as a child... "a tornado has a hard time getting in these mountains"...and I always felt safe nestled in our little valley but he prefaced with... "if one ever does get in it will tear up everything trying to get back out." Helene proved him right?
So grateful for Publix and Vintage Kava.. they have stepped up to serve our community in those dire first hours.. and all those out clearing the roads.. our mountain folks are hardy stock... they were willing to get out there and put boots on the ground serving others instead of sitting in the safety of their homes waiting for someone to rescue them. This is the attitude that our pioneer ancestors had as they built this great nation.. do what you can for others... reach out, check on your neighbors, share what you have...come up with solutions but most of all show love to all!
