My husband, Kevin, and I are vacationing in Avio, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy, which is the village where his grandparents were
married and welcomed several children before moving to America in 1919. I’ll be sharing more adventures. This is our first day in Avio and we’re exhausted from the flight over but grateful to be here. Ciao!!

Look at this handsome fella! A beautiful Border Leicester ram lamb. If all goes as planned, he’ll be joining our farm the first weekend in October. Look at the gorgeous curls!

LAMB SAUSAGE SALE!!!! Mild Italian, Hot Italian and Breakfast seasoned.
We need to defrost our freezer before we take in the 2026 lamb crop. We’re taking a $1.50 per pound off to move the sausage. Instead of $12.50 per pound, it’s now $11.00 per pound. Our sausage is not trimmings. Instead, we dedicate several lambs each year strictly to sausage so it’s every cut including the loin, rib, leg, and shoulder. You can purchase from our farm at the CNY Regional Market tomorrow and next Saturday in the F Shed.

Wool has picked up a few unfair rumours over the years.
Here are four of the most common myths around it...

1. Wool is always itchy.
Not all wool is created equal. Modern spinning techniques, together with beautifully fine fibres like Merino, Alpaca and Cashmere, produce yarns that feel wonderfully soft against the skin.

2. Wool is difficult to care for.
Wool is naturally resilient and surprisingly low maintenance. Its fibres help resist odours, meaning many wool garments simply need a good airing between wears rather than frequent washing.

3. Wool can't be used for sportswear.
Natural fibres have been trusted outdoors for generations. Wool's ability to wick moisture and regulate temperature makes it exceptionally dependable for an active lifestyle.

4. Wool is only for winter.
Wool isn't just for cold weather. It naturally helps regulate your body temperature, making it just as comfortable for cool summer evenings and changeable spring days as it is during the colder months.
