I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has shown so much love, support, and encouragement over the last few days. It means the world to me!

I will be making changes with not only the name of this page but also adding more content. We have more than just silkies here on the homestead. I’m excited to share all of the shenanigans with you all. Even though this has been a very crazy time I am looking at the positive. I am open to name suggestions if you have any.

Some inspiration for a name would be sunflowers, meadow, wildflowers, sunshine/golden or anything similar. We have many breeds of chickens, quail, rabbits, dogs, and cats. We also have a garden that we use for our family and our farm stand, Sunkissed Market.

Edit to add: A name change will be coming to this page soon. I will be taking a little time to think about it but I wanted to give a heads up.

I never want this page to be flooded with drama but I do want to clear the air. There was another Sun Kissed silkie page with an owner also named Ashley who lives in Florida. I just want it to be very clear that it is not me and I am in no way associated with her. I have never done any money exchange with anyone other than in person. I have only sold to people local or that drove to me. I have never shipped any birds or eggs. I had this page before she changed her name to the same as mine. I let it go until it started causing confusion and issues. My name is Ashley and I live in Weeki Wachee, Fl. If you have any questions I am happy to help clear things up. Otherwise this will be the one and only time this will be brought up on my page. Thank you so much to those that are helping me get this information out. I truly appreciate it.💛

This has been a rough weekend here in Florida for the animals! We lost a couple older birds who couldn’t handle the very low temps. Even with extra warming measures in place it wasn’t enough. I hope everyone else is doing well and their animals are making it through this winter ok. Only a few more weeks and it will be warming up here again. Hang in there everyone💛

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are getting some cooler temperatures. This summer has been brutal here in Florida. I took the summer off to be with my family. It also gave the silkies a much needed break. This cuckoos name is Pepper. He will be joining a breeding pen this fall.💛
