Have a water softener? Here’s a simple thing to watch for: a salt bridge! 🧂

Humidity can cause salt to form a hard crust inside your brine tank. It may look like there’s plenty of salt, but an empty space underneath can keep the salt from reaching the water—and your softener needs that salt to regenerate properly.

✅ Check your salt level regularly.
✅ If the salt looks solid or your water starts feeling hard again, a salt bridge could be the culprit.
✅ Avoid hitting the tank or using sharp tools to break it up.

In Weeki Wachee, we installed a water softener and reverse osmosis system. In Wesley Chapel, we installed one of our mid-plate conditioners.

💧 PINELLAS… YOUR TAP WATER’S ABOUT TO HIT DIFFERENT. 😂

Starting Sept. 21, your water might taste or smell a little different.

Before the neighborhood Facebook groups go full “WHAT’S IN THE WATER?!?” — Pinellas County says it’s planned and safe to drink.

The county is temporarily switching its disinfection process from chloramine to chlorine for routine system maintenance through Oct. 10.

So if you take a sip and think…

Nope. You might actually be noticing the change.

⚠️ One important thing: Dialysis patients should check with their care provider, and aquarium/fish owners may need to make adjustments. So, share this info with them!
