BRL of the Month: December

Why should you be BRL of the Season?: “I love my city and I love football. I have been surrounded by the sport of football and cheered from the sidelines since the Love Ya Blue days as a Houston Oiler Fan. My late father is the one I give all the praise to, for introducing me to football, and demonstrating what a true fan really is. I loved waving the indigo blue and white pomp oms singing along to the song and watching out for crazy George on the drums to come by and start the wave with the audience around the stadium.
In elementary school I was on the community drill team, cheering on my brother and playing football. In middle school, I was on the cheerleading squad, but then in high school l was too scared to try for the cheer team, which was the “big league”, I didn’t think I was ready for that! But my dad convinced me that a big part of the game is the cheerleaders cheering on the home team. I now understand how important it is to cheer on your home team, Win Lose or draw, we Party/celebrate at them all.
I’ve been an STM since day one in 2002 and a PSL holder too. At every home game, I can be found lined up on Kirby Drive, way before kickoff, waiting to enter the Blue Lot, ready to tailgate and cheer on the Texans! While tailgating, I’ve met many of our opponent fans, such as when we played the Raiders and they took over our B lot but also lost that game. Visitors from other counties, even countries. Media from around the world have visited our tailgate, including local radio stations. We are big on hospitality, everyone is welcome.
I love my city, and I support all our local sports teams, but my heart and dedication belong to our Houston Texans, regardless of the score at the end. It would be my honor to carry the title of Battle Red Lady for Season 2022. Thanks for this opportunity for the run, and hope your vote just emphasizes your belief in me!!! A loyal fan of the Houston Texans and the city of H-Town!
