We had severe storming/flooding here last night with tornados! Hens are still doing their thing, even after splashing around in the puddles this morning. Boat load of eggs that now need to be washed due to how dirty they are.

A new barnyard mix has hatched!

Cochin x Brahma, Cochin x Cinnamon Queen x Brahma and Cochin x Faverolle. We're excited to see how they turn out!

We put our two new boys to work today!

These guys will be the guardians of our Easter Egger flock, but for a couple of days they have a job to do!

Did you know that you can use chickens to help prepare your garden for planting? Throw in a couple of carts of compost soil and let them do the heavy work of spreading and tilling it in!

UFD - three Light Brahma roosters, six months old, looking for new flocks to call their own. Foot feathering is sparse, but coming in thicker.

These will be BIGGGGG birds, so please keep that in mind. Their father rooster is the size of a turkey pretty much. Comes from a very docile, friendly line. The roo they come from has been a loyal protector of his flock for four years!

The Cinnamon Queen and Production Red pullets are so friendly this spring. We didn't intend to have Production Reds this year but there was a mix up. We're keeping them anyway. :)
