From a heap of crispy fish ‘n chips to a steaming cup of chowder or the Captain’s medley of savory fish cakes, everything on the Table & TakeAway menu is a crowd pleaser. While Captain Marden’s may conger up images of fresh haddock and mussels, the Table & TakeAway is not just for lunch and dinner. Our chefs also create all manner of morning specialties—from fresh muffins and coffee for those on the fly, to stick-to-your-ribs classics like scrambled eggs, sausage and home fries. Regardless of the meal, however, our motto at the Table & Takeaway, is always the same: Nothing fancy. We got this beauty of a tuna in and went straight to the cutting board! Here’s a look at how we trim and hand-cut our tuna into proper filet mignon portions, each one dressed just right and ready for the showcase.

Pin-boning is part of the preparation, making sure your salmon fillets and portions are ready to go home with you — with those pesky little bones removed.

“Flat Fish Is Back”… but at Captain Marden’s, it never left. 🐟

Flounder and other flatfish have been a staple of what we do for generations. Every week, our team is cutting and processing fresh flatfish for our retail market, wholesale customers, and restaurants throughout the area.

We’re proud to see Massachusetts Fisheries putting the spotlight back on these local favorites—and even prouder to keep doing what we’ve always done: sourcing, cutting, and selling great fish.

Flatfish isn’t making a comeback here. It’s always been part of Captain Marden’s.
