Fresh rows, sunny skies, and sweet corn officially in the ground! 🌽🚜
Planting season is one of our favorite times of the year, and we’re excited for another crop of fresh, local sweet corn. The first 16 rows are in and we were able to extend our crop to keep up with the demand. Thank you to all that have bought and supported us over the years. Now we wait for a little sunshine, a little rain, and a whole lot of summer 🌞We can’t wait to share it with you soon! Don’t forget if you don’t feel like cleaning and cooking sweet corn, it will be available at our sister small business, Fort’s Tavern, in downtown Wellington.

🧅 It’s not quite farm stand season yet but we did get some bounty from the woods: chives, ramps, morels & oysters.

The produce went to Fort’s but the
🍄‍🟫🍄 are all ours! 😋🤤

It’s our first Christmas in the farmhouse. The tree fits perfectly in the bay window and the Christmas cactus has bloomed beautifully just in time for the holidays!

This Christmas cactus is over 150 years old. It belonged to my great, great grandmother. All of us ladies have taken care of it over the generations. We almost lost it a few years back. Turns out Alzheimer’s and watering plants are a near deadly combo. I was able to save 1/4 of the plant and she’s doing wonderful after a couple of years of nurturing.

All that’s left to do around here is the cooking & the baking. Which mean plenty of time to sit around this cozy place and appreciate it. Happy Holidays! 🎄🎁

Our bi color sweet corn is Cosmic Cruiser. It’s so sweet! $5/dozen. Also available as the fresh vegetable of the day at Fort’s Tavern 🌽

Hay!

We have some for sale now & (weather permitting) more next week. Deals if you take the bales out of the field or pasture. We can load onto anything.
