I realize that not many people geek out about sheep and small ruminates like I do but this makes me happy. In this picture there are about 20 ewes behind me and 120 ewes in front of me happily grazing on the forage of a farm that has been in the Fahrmeier family for over 125 years. There are song birds singing, worms working, and soil biology storing carbon, and sheep are happily grazing God’s creation and regenerating our soils. I am getting too old to pregnancy scan sheep when it is 19 degrees. Thankfully Samuel Fahrmeier and Dr Wyatt Catron Vet Service are young! The Shearwell scanner was a great help at recording the results.
