Ogan Family Farm

Ogan Family Farm Putting the “care” in the cultivation of plants, animals and community We strive to serve people and families needs for local farm fresh food.

From eggs, veggies, honey and even flowers. We also provide education and encourage participation in harvest days of poultry, goats, rabbit and swine......once in a while a beef. Animals harvested on our farm are treated with respect and are culled in a humane way. We believe animals that feed us should be well cared for. Here on the farm we use feed non-gmo feeds and use regenerative principles t

o help improve our soils with compost and no and low till techniques. We use water saving mulch and drip tape. Our goal is to support you in knowing your farmer, having a connection with your food and truly knowing where your food comes from.

Looking for local poultry? We got you covered. Once you have Ogan Family Farm chicken you won’t want to go back to store bought. What’s different you ask? Lots! These are Freedom Ranger meat birds. They grow slower than your regular store bought chicken, they have time to developed flavor but still maintain their tenderness. These chickens are fed certified non GMO feed and spent brew grain. They are raised out in our pasture in the Nevada sunshine and fresh air, so they can pick and scratch and be chickens. And our laying hens are the same…..free range, fed non GMO. Our layers don’t need as much protein as the growing meat bird so their feed is corn and soy free. This is poultry done right, with integrity and we love what we do. Our love for the land leads us to provide nutrient dense, amazing tasting poultry products, that’s what we strive for. And now you can purchase our chicken and eggs at The Valley Merc Wed-Sat 11-4, 1420 Hwy 395, Gardnerville
