Grouse will be hosting a webinar and happy hour on February 26, the last Thursday of the month! All are welcome to join and chat with other brewers and maltsters. Our topic for this event is discussing yeast in gluten-free brewing: pros and cons of dry yeast and liquid yeast, nutrients, fermentation time, and repitching. Grouse COO Matt Bailey is hosting and brings years of brewing experience to the table.

A few weeks ago, the Grouse team trekked down to Golden, CO, to visit ahead of their 10th anniversary. It was so much fun to visit with their team, walk the production floor, and try some of their beers. Looking forward to more customer visits in 2026, and more great-tasting, gluten-free beer!

🍺🌾 Looking back at September, we celebrated — a time to honor both the traditions that ground us and the innovations that move us forward. From advances in gluten-free malting, to the farmers who care for every field, to the dedicated team members who bring grain to bag so brewers can go from bag to glass, we’re grateful for the people and progress that shape this work.

🌾 At Grouse Malt House, sustainability starts at the source.

Our millet comes from local and regional farmers who practice regenerative agriculture and since millet is a dry land crop- no irrigation required. 💧✨

Since November 2024, we’ve proudly purchased 100% certified organic millet, supporting both the land and the people who steward it.

Here’s to delicious beer made with a climate-friendly grain! 🌍🍺

What an incredible time at this year’s Craft Maltsters Guild Craft Malt Conference in Denver! As always, it was amazing to connect with our community—maltsters, farmers, brewers, distillers, equipment suppliers, and beyond.

🎉 Big shout out to Brent Manning with Riverbend Malt House in Asheville NC, this year’s Soles of Malt Award recipient! Thanks Brent for your dedication, stewardship, and leadership throughout the years.

🥇 We’re also beyond thrilled to share that Grouse Malt House took home GOLD in the Unique Malt category for our Goldfinch Millet Malt! A huge thank you to the judges and our entire team for making this possible.

On top of all the other excitement of the weekend, we had the pleasure of hosting tours, sharing a behind-the-scenes look at the gluten-free Grouse malting space, and making friends from around the world!
