Our lavender is taking a slow start this year. The lavender plants started to put on flowers, but that cold snap a month or so back ALL the flowers that were shooting up froze. The plants have rebooted and with this new heat wave we're having, we're hoping the flowers will be show casing themselves in a couple of weeks. The Penstemon we purchased last spring from the Douglas County Extension plant sale, on the otherhand, are thriving. We will keep you posted.

Made it through our first major snow storm. The lavender is nicely cacooned in its winter blanket. Now the task of checking it daily to insure the snow doesn't turn into ice blocks like it did a couple of years ago. Looking forward to spring.

We've been busy potting up new baby lavender plants! They are tucked in the greenhouse for the winter, but they should be ready next growing season for planting. Keep an eye out for our Spring and Summer plant sales in 2026 (dates to be announced) if you'd like to add some of these cuties to your garden.

Good morning, Wild Country Lavender gates will be open today, Monday, July 21 from 7 a.m. until noonish. If you don't see us in the field we are most likely in the greenhouse. Give a honk. Have a great Monday everybody.
