RM Aurora ~ This dahlia is new to my garden this year and is the first RM variety to bloom for me EVER! I am definitely a sucker for the dark stems, and the bloom attachment is perfect, right on top of the stem!
This tuber was sourced directly from River Merle Farm thank you for breeding such an incredible dahlia!
I look forward to the other RM varieties opening soon… do you grow any RM dahlias? What is your favorite?

KA’s Blood Orange

I cut stems deep in general but I especially do it to these dahlias to encourage longer growth habits and also to get usable stems. Cutting deep on this particular variety equals lots of de leafing and removing some of the lateral growth after harvesting, can you guess how many usable stems I was able to get from these plants? I’ll give you a hint: there are 17 plants 😉

KA’s Coral Sea ~ I can barely handle how much floof this bloom has!! To say that I’m excited that I added this variety to my garden this year MIGHT be an understatement. This dahlia is bred by Kristine Albrecht Kristine Albrecht - Dahlias
I am letting this particular bloom go to seed and I juuuust noticed the pollen in the center this morning.

I’m probably biased but Fidalgo Blacky is definitely one of my absolute favorite dark burgundy dahlias. The color on this dahlia is absolutely stunning and it works so well to add some mood to your bouquet.
