FSA is proud to invest in the future of agriculture by offering Youth Loans to help our future farmers and ranchers finance and gain hands-on experience managing an income producing agricultural project.

To apply, you must be 10 to 20 years old and have the support of a project advisor like your 4-H club leader or FFA advisor.

Loan funds can be used to buy livestock, seed, equipment, and supplies or to purchase, rent or repair tools and equipment or pay operating expenses for the project. fsa.usda.gov/resources/loans/youth-loans

On this past Saturday- Faribault County Corn & Soybean Growers Association Chair, Kalyn Kalis was tending our booth at the Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota where it was open to the public to bring the family to learn more about Agriculture across southern Minnesota.

We have been apart of this for three years now and have loved getting to answer questions about growing corn & soybeans and our farmers we support!

BREAKING NEWS: The Farm Bill has passed the House with a 224 to 200 vote.

Lawmakers approved the measure after a series of floor debates and last-minute amendments. The bill moved through a day of intense negotiations over key issues including ethanol policy, nutrition programs, and agricultural regulations.

It now heads to the Senate.
