Before you invest thousands into a water filtration system, ask one simple question:

“Was my water actually tested by an independent certified laboratory?”

Too often, homeowners are being sold equipment based on assumptions—not facts. We’ve recently seen cases where companies recommend costly equipment without conducting proper lab testing first.

Here’s the problem with that:

• Every home’s water is different
• Without accurate lab results, you could be sold equipment you don’t need
• Or worse—equipment that doesn’t fully solve your water issues

A certified lab test identifies exactly what’s in your water and allows for a custom, precise solution tailored to your home.

We believe you deserve transparency, accuracy, and confidence in what you’re buying.

💧 Don’t guess. Test first. Treat correctly.

If you’re considering a filtration system, make sure your decision is based on real data.

If you need assistance with water testing or would like help interpreting your water test results, contact our office at 207-646-7373.

💧 When was the last time you tested your water?

Most homeowners don’t realize that bacteria and nitrates can show up in well water with no taste, smell, or warning signs. That “clear” water might not be as clean as it looks.

Bacteria can enter your water from surface runoff, septic issues, or heavy rain.

Nitrates often come from fertilizers and can be especially harmful to infants and pregnant women.

The good news? Testing is quick, affordable, and gives you peace of mind.

We recommend testing your water at least once a year—and anytime there’s a change in taste, color, or odor.

Your water is something your family relies on every single day. Make sure it’s safe.

We want to clear up some recent confusion 👇

Carl’s Water Systems is NOT affiliated with any other water filtration company. While there may be other businesses using similar names or referencing past companies, we are independently owned and operated.

Our roots go back over 30 years, and we remain a family-owned business committed to honest service, quality products, and taking care of our customers the right way.

If you’ve been contacted by another company claiming to be connected to us or suggesting we are no longer in business — that information is simply not true.

We’re still here, still local, and still dedicated to providing the same trusted service our customers have relied on for decades.

If you ever have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly. We’re always happy to help 💧

Sincerely,
The Dunbar Family

💧 What You Can’t See Can Hurt You 💧

If your home uses well water, it’s important to remember: the most dangerous contaminants are often invisible. Clear water doesn’t always mean clean water.

That’s why routine testing is so important for protecting your family’s health.

✔️ Test your water every year for:
• Bacteria
• Nitrates
• Any known local contaminants

✔️ Every 3–5 years, schedule a full water safety test to check for a broader range of potential issues.

Well water can change over time due to weather, groundwater movement, and nearby activity—without any noticeable warning signs.

Don’t rely on appearance alone. Stay ahead of problems with regular testing and peace of mind.

💧 Is Your Water System Outdated? 💧

Your old water filtration or softening system may not be protecting your home the way it should.

At Carl’s Water Systems, we’ve seen it all across Wells and surrounding communities — systems that are technically “working,” but:

• Not removing contaminants effectively
• Causing low water pressure
• Using more salt or water than necessary
• Struggling with Maine’s unique well water challenges
• Costing more in maintenance than they’re worth

Technology has come a long way. Today’s systems are more efficient, more powerful, and built to handle the specific water conditions we see here in Southern Maine.

Upgrading your equipment can mean:
✔ Cleaner, better-tasting water
✔ Improved pressure and flow
✔ Lower operating costs
✔ Longer appliance lifespan
✔ Peace of mind for your family

If you can’t remember the last time your system was evaluated — or you’ve noticed changes in taste, odor, staining, or pressure — it might be time for an upgrade.

Proudly serving southern Maine and surrounding communities. Message or call Carl’s Water Systems today for a system check and honest recommendations.

Clean water starts with the right equipment. Let’s make sure yours is up to date.

Got Your Water Test Results Back… But Not Sure What They Mean?

Laboratory reports can be confusing — full of numbers, abbreviations, and technical terms.

At Carl’s Water Systems, we can help homeowners understand their water test results clearly and confidently.

We’ll explain:

• What each result means
• Whether levels are safe
• What standards they’re compared to
• If treatment is needed — and why

No pressure. Just honest guidance.

If you’ve recently had your water tested, send us your report or stop by our office — we’re happy to review it with you.

Clean water starts with understanding what’s in it.
