We finally got our pig fence done!
I think the pigs are pretty happy.
We layered wood chips and tilled shell corn in it and put 2 old round bales in the middle.
I'm hoping they turn these chips and hay into compost pretty quick.

We ate like royalty again tonight!
Our beef goes to the butcher at the end of the month so we're getting our steaks from the last one all ate up.
We also had taters with cabbage from the garden and leftover corn.
Tonight Gert me and the dogs AKA the peasants had ribeyes.
Our Royal Highness Queen Jude had Tenderloin.

Well folks the time has come to throw in the towel on trying to raise and sell good quality pasture raised chicken.
When we started doing this a few years ago our goal was to just make enough profit so that we could eat for free. I've come to realize our time is worth so much more than the cost of the birds we we eat.
We've got chicken stacked up like cordwood with about 50 more to butcher and no place to store them because our freezers are full and feeding meat chickens just to maintain them makes no sense at all.
We'd like to thank everybody that has bought birds from us in the past and know we appreciated your business.

2-5 gallon pails of tomatoes turn into 1-5 gallon pail of pulp which will hopefully turn into 8-10 quarts of pasta sauce...
