We are thankful for volunteer teams like this one from First Presbyterian Wellsboro who help His Thousand Hills Christian Camp & Retreat Center tackle the many projects that can only be done before the winter storms hit.
These cozy A-frames are used during the sunmer to host camps and guest groups, but are special to our Planted students who get to live in them for 9 months out of the year.
They may look small but mighty things happen in these buildings. Late night prayer with roommates, studying God's word together, homework central,...
Alumni, what are some of your favorite A-frame memories?

What do seeds and discipleship have to do with one another? LOTS! One of the unique ways the Planted program simulates a biblical experience of discipleship is the process of planting, pruning and harvesting. The apostle Paul describes it this way: " I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God makes it grow." (I Corinthians 3:6)
The pumpkins, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, even flowers the students this year harvest and get to enjoy were planted by last year's students! Their seeds were dried, preserved and planted by one year and the next group gets to harvest and eat the produce! And God gets all the glory because it is He who both makes the produce grow and who makes us grow.

They did it! ADK trip 2026 was a huge success and we cannot wait to tell the stories.
We are praising God for amazing weather that allowed for more focused time meditating on God's word, many personal and group accomplishments and life-long memories made.

What better way to study Scripture than to step outside into God's creation and experience its biblical motifs first hand!
And all the while, forge life-long friendships and grow in maturity and character while pursuing Christ together.
Praise God for amazing weather this week and all He is doing in the hearts and lives of everyone on the trip.

Have you ever thought about some of Jesus' last words to the churches? "The Spirit and the Bride say, 'come'. And let the one who hears say 'come'. Let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price." Revelation 22:17
Our students are meditating on Jesus' invitation this week and tracing the theme of living water through Scripture. They are literally wetting their appetite for a year-long study in God's Word!

We have a great week planned for this group as they head North to ascend the Adirondack mountains and paddle its lakes. Its a great opportunity to experience the rich biblical motifs of mountains, water and pathway imagery in Scripture.
Pray that God will continue to shape these young men and women into His image, forge strong bonds of Christ- centered friendship and grow their understanding of God's word.

I grabbed a few pictures to get you excited about a new school year! Orientation week is always a fun time of firsts. The first campfire, the student's first interactions with the farm animals, the first harvest, the first game devotion and discussion,...all filled with the anticipation and hope of God's good work in our lives.

We're off to another wonderful start! Meet the amazing Planted class of 2026-2027. Please pray for each of them as they have come to sink their roots deeper and grow up higher into Christ this year both individually and as a group. We cannot wait to get to know each of them more and watch them grow together in Gods word and world as young men and women equipped to serve Jesus Christ.
