Wellston School Nurse Jessica Todd spoke to both agricultural power and mechanics classes today about general first aid, how to use the AED and how to stop major bleeding. Thank you Jessica for sharing your knowledge and expertise with our students today. Wellston Schools is very fortunate to have you!!

Shout out to senior FFA member Jacob Vazquez for being the first High Individual in the county Entomology contest last Friday with a perfect score and then following that up with High Individual in the Horticulture judging contest! Very impressive Jacob!!

When selling or purchasing chicken from our members, remember that the portion size is smaller thus the cheaper price. Thank you for supporting our chapter!!

We have taken a great recipe and made it better. This year, when groups are taking orders for their Blue & Gold Sausage fundraiser, be sure to check out the revamped Chicken Tenders. They are now delivered fully cooked in a 2 1/2-pound package, instead of 5 pounds. Remember the pound change when placing your order. Easy for kiddos to throw in the air fryer as a convenient after-school snack.

Our Wellston FFA Chapter Officers wrapped up an incredible Officer Retreat a few days ago!

During these two days, these students worked together to strengthen their leadership skills, build teamwork, set goals for the upcoming year, and plan for a successful year.

We were fortunate to have two outstanding guest speakers join us. Former Oklahoma FFA President Cooper Kline challenged our officers to embrace the mindset of "We Before Me," reminding us that true leadership is about putting the team and those we serve ahead of ourselves. We also welcomed current Oklahoma FFA Secretary Kaden Pliler who encouraged our officers to be intentional about noticing the people and world around them. He shared that while each of us brings unique strengths and perspectives, those differences are what make a team stronger when we work together. A huge thank you to both of our speakers for investing in our officers and helping prepare them to lead! We can't wait to see the impact these students make throughout the year!!!
